Jimmy Stringer, AIA

Founder & Director
AIA, MHIC, LEED AP, Realtor

I am a licensed Architect, Realtor, and General Contractor in the state of Maryland. I am passionate about the beautiful design of homes, and it shows in everything I do. The founder of The Rooted Studio, I bring a diverse set of skills honed over 20 years of study combined with top-tier experience in residential architecture, construction and management. Possessing a business degree from the University of Notre Dame and two master's degrees in architecture and engineering from the University of Miami, I love putting all facets of my proficiencies to work on a daily basis.

Having participated directly with every scale of residential design imaginable— from bathroom renovations to multi-million-dollar compounds— I am ready to tackle any project. I am regarded by my clients for genuinely caring about them, their projects, and the communities in which they live. A dedicated member of my community, I enjoy participating in the Flower Valley neighborhood of Rockville and participates in planning a variety of events locally. Together with my wife Katie, we are blessed parents of five children and they are the foundation of their life. I am feel I am really just the caretaker of this company for them until the new board members are ready.

Most recently, I have joined a fantastic real estate group of highly motivated inspiring people at Kilner & Kirk Real Estate Group a part of REAL Broker, LLC. Together we blend real world problem solving from a design and real estate fiduciary perspective giving our clients a uniquely unbiased opinion on positively impacting their home.
